| 3d Place on Day 2 |
Aptly named, this 3 day event had very challenging courses each day. Day one's short track course was the toughest short track course I have experienced with several technical areas through a wooded area with a few climbs that put a good burn in the legs. I finished 2d out of a small group in my Cat 3 35+ category. Day two increased the technical aspects quite a bit and had several climbs that exhausted every rider. A long granny gear climb (or walk - which became a popular option for some) decimated the legs and lungs from lap one and every rider seemed to be just fighting to survive from that point. I finished 3d in the Cat 3 35+ category.
